Lily Reilly likes little details. This Irish artist and designer from the West Cork countryside has developed a distinctive aesthetic to her work, focused on refined and intricate patterns. Nestled away with her fiancé and little cat Poppy, Lily depicts her affinity for the natural world in truly beautiful style.
Lily’s journey into art-making began with the completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Design Communications, quickly followed by an Honours Degree in Design and Design Teaching from the Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork City. It’s this technical training and expertise that shines through every piece Lily creates. Weaving chains of complex floral patterns feature across this artist’s extensive portfolio of art. Monochromatic designs featuring striking geometric sketching showcase Lily’s talents at their best, dotted with bursts of vibrant technicolour tones.
Nature remains as the core inspiration behind all of the works created by Lily. These eye-catching floral designs are the product of this artist’s trials and experimentations, as Lily aims to “create beautiful objects and pieces of art that people would love to wear or have in their homes.” Not liking to settle or limit her ambitions, Lily produces fine art pieces, prints, greeting cards and wedding stationery commissions on top of running a successful blog that showcases the art of a variety of talented souls.
