Rose Liu is connected. This NYC based photographer sees beyond her immediate surrounds, and wants to capture the world through her rose-coloured lens. She takes life in slowly, pondering the diverse beauty of every person and place she encounters. At just 24 years old, Rose has her feet planted firmly on the ground but still dares to let her imagination drift high into the skies.
With her Chinese heritage pulsing strongly through her veins, Rose’s photography is coloured by her experiences of cultural disparity. Transcending both Eastern and Western influences, her art serves as her mouth-piece to articulate her struggles and anxieties of seeking to belong.
Rose believes herself to be “a global citizen” with her photography “inspired by fairy tales and femininity”. Embarking on a range of collaborative projects, including her current work titled ‘Petals and Feathers’, this photographer sure knows how to stay occupied.
