Check out UK-based photographer Flavia Catena’s beautiful new shoot ‘Heather’.
In a world that grows more and more rigid, industrialised and concrete-paved every day, the sight of a sunny field teeming with wildflowers can almost feel like something from a fairy tale.
Britain’s glorious fields of purple heather often serve as inspiration to the photographers we feature. It’s easy to imagine Shakespeare’s Ophelia, Austen’s Lizzy Bennet or Bronte’s Catherine Earnshaw wandering through these Buckinghamshire fields.
Originally from Italy, photographer Flavia Catena works with model and MUA Martina to capture a wholesome, serene set of images as we follow her through the sea of heather, letting natural light shine through and conveying a real peace with nature and the self.
Flavia creates soft, intimate portraits with stunning natural backdrops. For more of her wonderful work, visit her online, like her on Facebook or follow her on Instagram @flavia.catena.
