Photoshoot + Interview: 'The Wild Flower' by Marley Morgan of Barefoot Wandering
Marley Morgan is a proud Aboriginal women who hails from Lightning Ridge and is currently living in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
The talented first year photographer is passionate about Australian Flora and fashion, often incorporating both within her work.Today, we get to enter into Marley's dreamy world, featuring her latest body of work, 'The Wild Flower'.
Q: When did your love of photography first blossom?
A: I have always had an interest in photography since I could remember.
Q: What inspires your creativity the most and why?
A: Mother Nature's palette. The beautiful rustic, dusty warm colours of the outback (Lightning Ridge) where I am originally from and the beautiful greens and blues of the Ocean and Forest of Coffs Harbour inspire my style of work.
Q: Please tell us more about the experience you had planning and capturing this series?
A: This series was inspired by my love of flora, lace and all things girly. A love story of a girl and nature.
Q: What do you hope the not-too-distant future holds for your photography career? Do you have any exciting, upcoming plans that you'd like to share with us?
A: As a first year photographer I am planning to work with more local creatives and brands.
